*laughs!* Now that's an interesting idea for the feet.
I have a texture tip for ya! If you do your canvas texturing on a separate layer, you can use pinch/punch filters within the shape of the feet (or body or whatever the texture's on) to create a bit of a sense of dimension to the surface. Only on-line example I have is a pic I coloured/textured for a friend almost a decade ago: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/1374451/
The finer the details and colouring, like yours, the better it looks.

*nodsnods!* Looks great! It's a "trick the brain" sorta thing. When you see a perfect uniform texture, the brain goes "waaaaaaiiit a minute... that's not a flat surface." Even though the pinch/punch only curves the texture slightly, it's enough that the logical part of the brain gives it a pass. :D
