Step one : Wave white flag, give half of your country to the state that attacked you
Step two : cry to the brits like what we had no idea what the fuck happend
Step Three : Create a resistance organization
Step Four : Blow shit up that isn't yours anymore, then get complety forgotten in the future.
we did that once, it can maybe work again ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Awesome pic too ~

Some notes about armor design,
The tail is exposed and tho I Imagine the vast majority of organs are protected the tail would have major arteries, now seeing as It is behind the center of mass I would be hesitant to add heavy armor plates, however, a flack mesh lined tail sock is a minimum requirement.
If I was to add armor plate it would be at the base of the tail most central to the center of mass, the spine would run the length of the tail and a spinal injury would not be fatal but cripplingly painful. So maybe a hydraulic or free floating metal brace that runs the length of the flack sock to prevent miss compressions, however, it would limit tail maneuverability as a trade off. Finally, Ditch, the Cyber Blue, The little touchpad is fine as it serves a purpose the eyes are fine but if they emit light, make them really emit light! A functional design is cooler than a design that goes out of its way to look future like. But as a tip, if you do go the future like look, I would recommend adopting an aesthetic of smooth organic lines with functionality being provided by greebles that retract into the armor seamlessly. Make the armor bulkier that the wearer to provide imaginary space for its gadgets. Or hyper Slim with floating attachments like the bits from Gundam made from shapes derived from a French curve.
I love your work and want to see you improve. I'd love to see a tech sheet where you design mechanisms for this faction. Like a components list where you draw an armor plate, transmitter, cannon, helmet, boot, scout robot (less than 3'in tall) animatronic arm, and a flashlight. (this list covers ergonomics, optics, computing, materials science, Signal processing, Balistics[even if the faction does not use ballistics design the last ballistic weapon they used and mount it to the wall like a flintlock pistol], Heads up display, mass porduction[Boots wear out and need to be replaced regularly so they are a good reference for a factions ability to mass produce, and their philosophy of such. Are they made of recyclable materials to save cost ? do they grow them etc?], miniaturization, prosthetics, Power supply(smaller the flashlight better the supply)) Then once you go this list try drawing permutations of the objects to create other factions. Then from that work backward "what is the faction who designed this like? what does the design tell me that they value in their designs? what kind of person would be comfortable with this technology? what would a society that created these devices look like? what would they find unacceptable as a design philosophy?
And finally when making permutations remember the 3 1 1 Rule, There are three categories that keep designs balanced, Portability, Power, and Profit. and if you would like to increase one of these categories one must decrease another category in response. Example I have a well-rounded rifle, the enemy has a rifle that is twice as powerful but half as profitable. Therefore he has half as many rifles as I do.
I hope this helps you when designing cool sick ass ass wooping shark marines.
