July 2009 Cover for THE TALON, with a special focus as the annual Arts and Sciences Issue. The title, "Torchlight on the Arts" is meant to reflect this. The symbol for the Arts within the SCA is a candle glowing under an archway... My rendition of the archway is a nod to Ancient Babylon's Ishtar Gate. (Blame it on my love of art history!)
