It can be hard to find things you like on FA when it comes to writing/music as you have to invest more time in it than with art (so much simpler). We do have some really talented people in the fandom!

You're more than welcome. ♥ I favor originality overall. I tend to get tired of coming onto Furaffinity to see the same typical thing. Artwork following trends like the Virgin-killer / cat lingerie. Then most the artwork is 95% NSFW it gets a bit stale over time. Yeah, I do agree there are a lot of talented people here, and even in the other communities too, and I only really comment when I'd like to express something I've enjoyed. Keep up the amazing work, and I will wait patiently for your next tracks / art pieces~ ♥

That's surprising. There are so many amazing musicians here on FA, there must be other stuff around here that you'd love in addition to Lilypad.

Maybe I'll have to courage to explore it a bit more at a later date. I remember last time I've tried to listen to some music it was... well. Interesting.

Thank you... I am unsure if this sort of sound is what you usually like. It's actually a bit odd for me to come out with something with this sort of beat/feel to it. It's an interesting mix of some classical/orchestral sort of sounds with some more modern stuff thrown in. Wasn't sure if it worked but whatever... XD I need to move on and keep experimenting.

This is so beautiful, Lily. It's such a bittersweet song of someone who loves someone else so much, in hopes (or hopeless) that he'll improve into the person who deserves that much love. If that makes sense (because I ramble). Very lovely singing and composition

Makes COMPLETE sense and is very much along the vein of the meaning(s) behind the song.

It's probably not difficult to derive what the intention was when I wrote it. I was struggling with the choice to stay put in something that wasn't very happy most of the time, and was probably damaging to me, but still meant a lot to me and was hard to walk away from. I tend to end up in situations like that quite frequently because I am a very emotional/empathic person. I get attached and invested and then even if I am mistreated I tend to stick around out of duty or whatever. I never blame the person either, that's probably the issue... I tend to simply accept and understand what they say or do as a result of their own issues etc.

I imagine that's a theme that a lot of people can relate to/identify with so I felt the song was worth recording and sharing. That's the purpose of music... to connect strangers to something and to evoke emotion from them. I think that's a good thing... people have often told me my music helps them or soothes them during difficult times and that means a lot to me.

It's understandable not wanting to end a relationship and hoping everything will turn around for the better, but after enough time has passed and nothing has changed there eventually comes a time when you have to ask yourself, is this worth keeping?

True about the purpose of music being to inspire or invoke emotion from people. There are some pieces of music in my collection that bring me to tears whether from happiness, sadness, or something bittersweet. Sometimes music help bring out emotions that the person has been suppressing, or take the listener away to another time and place, whether something real from the past or something imaginary and beautiful. Music really amazes me.
