"What should I do?" She thought....there had been no one around for days. She'd flown thousands of miles. She was tired. But there had to be something here. Or someone.
As she did every evening when the sun began to approach the horizon and fall toward it's daily slumber, she climbed the towering rocks. These monuments of nature that rose above the mists of this unfamiliar land lent rest to her weary wings when she needed a high viewpoint. The setting sun began to cast a glowing haze onto her scales as she reached the top. Her piercing eyes slowly scanned the cracks and crevices of the landscape to the distant mountains. "Just as before, nothing." In a last effort she swept her wings back as she tilted her head to the sky with a thunderous cry. But only echoes answered.
