My first character painting in about three years. This piece is meant to be monochromatic, but I still have much to learn. This was made completely in SAI.

This is a remake of a piece that I made four years ago. I was 16 at the time; I am 20 now. Quite the difference, eh? You can always teach an old Shilly new tricks. I learned to draw at a later age, but I worked hard to improve. It's all about practice!

Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was a huge influence on eleven-year-old Shilly; in fact, it's what compelled me to learn to draw in the first place. Akakabuto remains one of my favorite manga villains of all time. The anime itself I re-watch once a year. It's practically tradition at this point.
