When ever I feel I do crappy art, it's normally because I don't want to do it.

Instead of half-closing the eyes, try furrowing the eyebrows. That should heighten the effect. But, it's your picture. Do what you want with it. Still awesome, though! =)

Looks perfectly fine to me. The only thing I can suggest is that maybe your backgrounds need to be more detailed. But I still think this is an awesome picture from you as always!
