Maybe, the older ones will remember (or know by name) Nu Pogodì!

Great job! I haven't seen this guy in years! I used to work with a young woman from Russia. She gave me a stack of unstamped post cards with Russian characters on them. Most were folk tales and Peter and the Wolf type stuff, but there were a couple of Nu Pogodì! cards.
Thanks -- I just wasted 20 minutes on a beautiful day watching silly Russian cartoons on YouTube! Laughed my @$$ off too -- but I noticed they seem to come from more than one era. The later stuff looks post-communist, is done in a typical limited-animation style and has a more western-culture feel, as you said, Tom and Jerry style. The earlier ones have more of a Soviet-era attitude, and the animation is incredible! Very smooth, like the animators weren't in a hurry and loved their work. I just wish the transfers were cleaner on the old ones.
Oh god i loved this show when i was a kid. This was also aired here in Hungary too. Its really weird to watching this show in nowdays because this show is maked it in a society what young people today doesnt knowed it all while others want to forget it
But this pic is awsome
