Since that looks like a South American Flag, I'm guess it's Portuguese, which is roughly translated to
"Geh-ree-ha"

Thats why I really love our Finnish language. You write everything as it is pronounced, and vice versa. Very easy.

Maybe, but the main subject was about the pronounciation and writing. Everything is written as it is pronounced. So in that part, finnish language is easy. We dont have anything bs like "silent letters" and such.
At least you dont need to learn multiple different pronounciation for every alphabet letter depending of which letters happens to be next to it.

I feel my eye twitch a little whenever I hear someone say the word "literally". I see no reason why that word exists.
Also, you know english is high on something when you can have 3 words with completely different meanings and are pronounced identically:
There - Indicating a location
They're - A contraction for "they are"
Their - A possessive pronoun

If you want a language that's pronounced exactly as it's written, learn an artificial language like Esperanto or Lojban.

If you want a real monstrosity of English, compare the spelling and pronunciation of "colonel"

The funny thing is, english pronunciation only really applys to English created words. All the other words in the english dictionary ( most of them) keep the pronunciation and spelling of their original language.

It's what you get when you language picks up a habit of following other languages down dark alleys, whacking them over the head, and rifling through their pockets for loose vocabulary. XD Seriously, I feel kinda bad for non-native speakers sometimes. It's so darn confusing!
