The second panel in particular, in the time since I originally posted this, has been circulated around the meme-o-sphere whenever the subject of Nintendo's infamous neglect of the Metroid series since Other M was released in 2010.
Then today happened.
Metroid Prime 4 on Switch.
A 2D remake of Return of Samus on 3DS.
So I figured drawing this was necessary.

If there are other games for the Switch that I want I just might grab one for Prime 4
As for the Return of Samus remake... that's neat as well. However I don't have a 3DS but I'd like to give that a shot.
Although I wonder who's making the Metroid 2 remake. I figure Retro's doing Prime 4, but I don't know if Metroid 2R is in-house. Doubt it, though.
The only way this would be better for me is if they actually made a sequel to Fusion.
And yes a Metroid 5/Fusion sequel definitely needs to happen, it had kind of a cliffhanger ending.
