Sure the weather was moving in, but the winds were light, the thermals were moderate, there was very little turbulence, and we both (my instructor and I) had fun.

44.0 hours now, still waiting for my medical so I can get my solo time in. It's been difficult but it's well worth it.
Edit: In 2019 I had a cardiac reaction to a medication and apparantly once you've had some you're much more susceptible to it. Decided between that and paying more to get a medical that to fly it wasn't worth it. Might try for a basicmed sometime in the future. Currently at 75.1 hours needing 2.5 solo cross-country and a new written to qualify for private.
