Well, losing five percent of the male population *devastated* the economy but it's not unrecoverable. So at first it seems like the world just needs to be stabilized and things will be fine, but people keep insisting on fighting a war that cannot be won. How that eventually turns out is part of the multiple paths I have planned.
Pretty effective.
You should make a second version that includes some of the cosmic horror elements you mentioned in the blog post, like a barely visible, shadowy figure in the background, or The Machine, which you can only see if you tilt the screen or fuck with gamma or something.
