So I was playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2. Just for the fun of it, I named the two main characters after my main character (Leo) and his future gal (Phoenix). Then I discovered that the partner was a boy.

Upon relaying this new and important information to my friends in the form of an IM containing many LOLs, I was dared to draw Pokemon slash.

The rest is history.

(FUN FACT: The Pikachu went on to become a real character of mine, mainly because he wouldn't go away. His anthro form (when I'm not jokingly drawing him as a Pikachu) is featured in my icon. His name is Fenix.)
