Madam Sarin is one of the villains in Happenstance. She works for the global control/terror/spy agency known as WRAITH. More specifically she's one of their enforcers (with a preference of all manners of poison). It's also worth noting she was formerly a Russian spy/assassin for WRAITH until her notoriety made it impossible to work covertly, but by that time she had climbed high enough in leadership to remain a valuable asset.

... also her dad is a Kamchatka brown bear. It's a curious trivia point.
