I love this pairing I love Super Mario Odyssey I love that she had character development and became a leader and all this stuff gosh I'm so happy and excited and the outfit changes and hats aaaaaaaaaaaa.

Hehe, as much as I love Mario x Peach, I love Mario x Pauline too! It feels like Peach might never be that special partner for him, but Pauline's that girl from the real world, same color scheme, she just feels like someone Mario could have.

Hold on, I thought Mario and Luigi coming to the Mushroom Kingdom from Brooklyn was no longer canon considering Yoshi's Island established that both of the brothers were from the Mushroom Kingdom since the beginning.

It's all pretty tough to tell - I figured they were born in the Mushroom Kingdom, taken to the real world, and came back!
But... now if Pauline is in charge of New Donk City, it's like a parody of New York City - I don't know exactly what's going on now. :O

They sure did! I mean, I think 6+ years ago they had her in the Mario + Donkey Kong mini puzzle games on the GBA and DS, but she's a mayor now in a main title. :O

I still can't get over how Pauline is finally back. And like most folks have said. The song is extremely trapped in my head. Not everyday you get lyrical songs for a Mario game.

I love Pauline so much, always have. I was so ridiculously excited to see her in the trailer and gameplay as mayor of New Donk City! By the way, it has been confirmed by the devs that she is the one singing, also the song's name is "Jump Up, Super Star" ^^

I don't ship Pauline and Mario personally but this picture is very cute! I actually really like the idea of Mario and Pauline as being close friends. Because it's so rare in any kind of media to see ex-lovers as actually being able to have a healthy friendship, so I love that Mario and Pauline are still shown to be quite close when they happen to interact

Haha yeah! :D Aw, I agree - people make exes seem like the worst - but it's nice to see people knowing they can have romances for a bit, and still be friends after. Mario does seem like a nice guy and like he wouldn't be too rude about it either. :3 I don't think they ever hinted at romance with them in the Mario & Donkey Kong GBA and DS games, so who knows!
