Hey Guys!
Yeah, yet again it has been a while since my last post.
Well, now that I have a model of the J.W. Bowker in HO scale I thought I'd make a drawing of it. One reson is because I LOVE this little engine, its so full of character and charm. The second reson is to discern a Color scheme for it other than its horrid and toy like "All RED" color schem!
Though for modeling and collecting pourposes I plan on getting a minimal of 5 of these locomotives. The one I currently have I want to keep "as-is" as a collector's item. Then I want 2 to use on my personal RR, one of which I might modernize slightly. Then one to make a replica of the J.W. Bowker and then finaly a fith to make a replica of the locomotive "McPherson". That was the locomotive the J.W. Bowker "Played" as in Cecil B. DeMille's 1938 classic "Union Pacific".
It was because of that movie I fell in love with the Bowker.
Anywho... Colored versions to follow. Enjoy!
Oh, COMMENT IF YOU FAV PLEASE!!!!

The other type that was popular in the general timeline as this loco was a vacuum brake system (With some big issues as you might imagine). There would be a hose for that style as well though the brake diaphragm is quite large and stands out on every installation I've seen so I'll wager it's a typical WABCO system.
Here's the Eames system in this book illustration.

Since it's standard gauge loco though It's probably WABCO.
