The actual size of this drawing is half the size of the format I prefer. I first drew the park bench and plopped my Mr. Foxy character on it. He seemed so lonesome and looks a little scared facing his retirement. The chilly winds of Autumn must remind him that Winter is on it's way.
He's most likely wondering why his pants and vest seem to feel like they're stuck to something on that bench too.

I went semi-retired in 2010, myself. It's a weird feeling, having enough resource command to see you through and no longer having to constantly worry about getting to work on time, making deadlines, or the thrill of a job well accomplished. S'one of the reasons I went back to work & college, but this time with what I wanted to do instead of what I had to do.
Hmmm... Then perhaps I should concentrate on upping my bandwidth and getting the newest version of Photoshop? I got the equipment, but lack the skills on how to use such effectively. Shoot... Art Center school of Design is within walking distance of the house. I've been contemplating visiting there and asking questions.
I use a $6 program I got off iTunes; a fraction of PhotoShop, with tremendous generative power.

lol. not much like mine. though.
my 'park bench' is inside my 'cacoon', in front of my computer.
if i lived out in the woods it would be a nice flat rock along a trail somewhere though.
i will never run out of things i want to do.
hopefully i'll never run out of the relatively small percentage of them
i actually have a means to do as well.

Yeah. Over here in Pasadena there's a couple parks where decent folks can't go to, or at least linger as they've become havens for drug dealers and "Professional Panhandlers." Also a few parks have become battlegrounds for urban gangs where being in the wrong place and wearing the wrong colors can get a person shot.
He was a Cabin Service Director with the cabin crew. He retired following an accident that injured his arm whilst helping to my my granddads from a Care Home to a Nursing Home (He cut his arm falling off the trailer of the moving van - my sister's fault as she'd made me go back to a charity store to reposses some electroplated tea set pieces that got mixed up with the other stuff...if I'd been there, that accident would never have happened)
Well, Dad jokes about not knowing what retirement is now he's working for my sister...

Having resided in Florida since I was 39 - living in a condo community for residents 55 and older - it's a strange feeling now to be at retirement age in my sixties (even though I was trying to find a full-time job I could properly retire from). And, this being south Florida in the Summer, I cannot adjust to the seasonal changes (as your foxy character is experiencing, where he is) - since every day down here feels like Summer!
