When a friend is having a down day and you’re the type to lift their spirits and make them feel there’s something worth smiling over, it can be an uphill battle. Still, despite their protests they often appreciate it a lot more than they may let on, even the most stubborn of them. Clark the chameleon lizard can’t let Zera be a sourpuss and stew in her grumpiness over a bad day. But the grump is strong with the tall wyvern, and Clark’s persistence might get him more than he bargained for! I’m sure Clark knows when to call Zera’s bluff on things like this. She may act all tough but he knows he can coax that smile out of her…even if he may have to make a run for it! Zera wouldn't want to look all sappy now.
Leetah made this adorably sweet comic one day when things just weren’t going well for her wyvern friend, and while Zera may act like she's trying to resist, it certainly was something that brightened my day. I really appreciate the range of expressions on Zera’s long angular head here. It’s a really great visualization of how her facial features would work to show expressions, and a real testament to Leetah’s skill as an artist. This didn’t get colored, that would have been a whole project in itself, but it’s a deeply appreciated moment from someone special.
