a painstakingly hand-sawn howling coyote featuring a large flashy moonstone (which looks like garbage in this picture! ha). the backside of the pendant has a moon and stars cutout underneath the stone to let light through.

Would never thought the jewelry you make is so unique (or at least i haven't seen something like this before). I really enjoy you didn't stick to working with just stones, but mixed other materials and shapes into your works as well! Also checked your etsy store, and the snake spine bracelet with the rainbow glass just stole my heart! Hopefully i'll be able to get it for my birthday next month!
Can i ask how much are these ones with animals and stones are, i couldn't find any in your store currently, and i really enjoy this one in particular.

thank you so much! i love jewelry as a creative outlet. i've always been obsessed with jewelry and decorating myself, and i began taking apart costume jewelry to repurpose when i was a kid. it naturally began to evolve, and here i am! i love being able to make things for other people to decorate themselves with as well.
this one was $200, about 3" tall and very heavy. most of my sterling pieces range from $100-$300 depending on size, complexity, and stones. silver, unfortunately, is rather expensive to work with.
oooh, birthday! when?

I think it's a very reasonable price, considering your skills that went into it, the tools you use and the materials too - those weren't free for you either.
I really like jewelry too, tho sometimes so much i don't dare to wear my most favourite ones because i'm afraid of ruining them. Still, i have a collection of all different jewelry types. And this year i even got into the piercing 'culture', and i already have a septum piercing, and just yesterday, i got my tongue pierced (going to hate myself for it as long as it heals for sure).
Wanted to ask if you've worked with labradorite before? That's one of my favourite stones, and is absolutely stunning if the sun catches it from different directions! It's colour palette is really wide, and i think you'd love it - some of your acid cat portraits remind me of them.
It's going to be on the 25th of July, can't believe this year is going by so fast.
(edit: and i forgot to write it as a reply, go me, haha)

oh yes, i adore labradorite and have made a few things using it! i actually have a piece that is shaped into a mushroom that i'm trying to think of a design for.
i have my septum pierced also and it's one of my favorite things, and a few months ago i got my nipple pierced, which i find very pretty. how'd the tongue feel? i can't imagine the healing on something like that!
tell me about it–the older i get the faster each year goes. i can't believe it's already almost fucking JULY. i haven't even done anything with my year so far, it feels like :|

That mushroom idea sounds neat! If you succeed in finishing it, please put a picture of it up here, i'm curious.
Well, first of all, the actual proccess of getting it - preparation, marking it's place, piercing - was really fast, so that's a pro for sure, because i was extremely nervous, i think if it were to take longer i'd have just turn and go home, haha. However when it was time for the needle to go through my tongue it was really uncomfortable/ painful, i just froze for that 3 seconds of it happening, tho it definitely felt like it took for minutes.
As i later at home realized, all this pain was because the piercing was crooked, it stood in my tongue like this: / . It was somewhat 'obvious', after i put the pieces together that that's why it took so long, because i know everybody feels pain differently, but even those who did felt if painful said it only took a second, while mine definitely took more.
Unfortunately, the tattoo & piercing place was so crowded at the time, the piercer just wanted to finish as quickly as possible, so in the shop i never actually got to see it, and thinking back i feel so stupid for not asking him if i could check if i think it was straight too, because he did pierce it exactly through the spot he marked it, whitch means it was already crooked when he marked it. So when i realized not only i, but my mother thought it's crooked too, after 1 and ½ days of having it i took it out, hoping it wont leave a visible/ 'felable' scar, so i could get it repierced, if i ever get to it again.
So, to actually answer your quiestion: while having it, it was really weird - in a positive sense - it did not swell, i could almost eat anything normally if i were to take small pieces of food into my mouth at once, were to chew slowly and on one side only. Really, the only difficulty it gave me was i had to feel really carefully, what is food and what isn't. Swallowing was only hard for the first like 3 times, after that it become pretty 'easy'.
I don't want to say that it didn't hurt tho, or, it was just rather sensitive, so i did take ibuprofen as frequently as i was allowed, but i didn't turn unable to eat or talk. I only had a lisp if i was talking while thinking of that there's something on my tongue that'll make me talk weird, but when i didn't have the time to think of it, i talked just normal. And that 'tight', hot, throbbing feeling when i first got the piercing went away pretty soon too.
So other than it being sensitive, and i mean why wouldn't it be, it's only one and a half day old, it was just doing perfect. Really, it was just me hating it being crooked so much is what made me decide to take it out... Tho i kind of already miss it.
So if you think of getting it, i do recommend it, while i had it and did not know it was crooked i loved it, felt like i had a pretty secret that was so cool and harmless. The only thing is: make sure it's going to be straight, and don't be afraid to ask for seeing if you're happy with the position, if they don't offer it right away (tho i think any reputable piercer would), because it's in your body, and it's important to be happy with it!
On an other note, i have toyed with the idea of getting my nipples pierced too, since i'm a small breasted person, and would love them to give me that 'confidence boost' everybody talks about, and i love the look of them on otherds, but i'm afraid that they'll cause too much complications during my everyday life, and i also don't look forward for the healing period due to it being so long. And now i also have a fear that what if one of them end up being crooked too.
What is your experience with them? Are they still healing? Is there any way they hinder you in anything?
And yeah, time goes so fast, it honestly scares me, like, i didn't do anything 'great' this year either, where the fuck are you hurrying so much, time?
Ok, sorry for the long ass reply, i just felt like it's important for me to get it out, so it wouldn't make me so sad anymore, and maybe turn out useful for you or anybody else who reads it, of how important is to speek up when it comes to bodymodification. :)

And i did forget to add: taking care of it was really easy too, and it's healing period is usually only estimated to be between 2-3 weeks, which seemed legit after experiencig it myself! Guess it also wouldn't gave me half as much trouble while eating if the bar wasn't so freakingly long, but that can't be avoided, because in the beginning, the chances of your tongue swelling up is very high, so it needs the room, but that initial bar can be switched for a short one after 2 weeks, or even sooner i guess if it didn't swell up to begin with.
