Started out as playing with brushes. Became a painting of mountains, then I decided one of my characters should go for a walk there. Mei was suggested by a friend, and she ended up being a natural choice, given that she is adventurous and active by nature. I kind of want to give her hair now, as I think she doesn't look very feminine from the rear, but then, Mei ISN'T very feminine to begine with, so perhaps that's ok? I mean, she a skinny, athletic lady, who's almost as flat as a board, so I guess she probably doesn't look very feminine from the front either.
