Heard this song in a sample pack a couple days ago. I grew up around jazz/r&b, so I just had to y'know?
The original song doesn't feature Rick Ross. I added him in :3
Dealing with mastering here, especially with 808s, is good practice. Hence for this upload!
I added Rick Ross' vocals, hihats, lead cymbal, 808s, snares, adjusted levels, automations, and balanced out the EQs. Also merged the original sampled song with the instrumental to get an original mix feel.
Essentially, this is what I want my future job to be. Team up with some of the best vocalists, build their track (can sample if allowed), master, send to iTunes, profit :3. Hopefully I'll get there!
