Found it - that's a connector to connect the CD/DVD drive of your laptop to the motherboard.

what I'm looking for is the specific name so I can look it up on eBay. I know that it's a Santa connector but I haven't exactly had any luck getting the exact name leader not I've tried three shops and none of them could figure out the exact name based on the pitcher.Presently don't have the laptop here to get the model number off itit's still at one of the shops where I took it to when I couldn't figure out how the heck to attach a hard drive because I couldn't find a hard drive connector to go from the cable to the motherboard first time I've ever had this problem with a laptop LOL.

when I got the laptop and the hard drive had been removed and I can't find any place to plug the hard drive in when I took it to a shop they said I need one of these to plug a hard drive into the laptop. I'm basically really confused because I can't find out where the hard drive plugs in first time I've ever had this problem. It's a fairly new laptop. Basically it's common practice for government operations to replace their laptops every two or three years and the hard drives are automatically removed when there were placed the computer looks like it's brand-new and other than not having a hard drive there's nothing wrong with it I can more than likely set up to run an operating system off of the USB port but would rather just put a hard drive in it.
