Now that's a site that has been seen since there were school busses. Thank you for sharing this window onto the past I never got to experience.
Living in an urban area in Australia we never got school busses :( And those that did operate in more regional areas were either Japanese Minibuses (nice enough in their own way but not the same) or charter buses which were just like council buses.

Where I once lived (the Commonwealth of Dominica--now storm-ravaged in recent years), we also took regular buses every morning. (Bar those, a relative's or neighbour's car.)
Speaking of storms and buses: At Roseau's Botanical Gardens, one can still visit the ruins of a big yellow vehicle crushed by David in 1979. (Fortunately, no one was inside.)
P.S. To the artist: Wonder where Tracy/
Frenata's been as of late? (Discovered her recently, thanks to
UrbanHermit; gave her old Valentine's art a shout out at Google+'s Clean Furry Art [CFA] last month.)
