First long pullover to get the RV started up again after my dad noticed the voltage going down from 12 to 8. We took the battery out and took it to a gas station down the road to get it recharged and see if that would get it going again. This was before we got it home and discovered it was the belts for the alternator were in bad condition and thus couldn't get a good charge going.
I wasn't a very happy camper at this point and just wanted to get back home but this wouldn't happen for several more times until we pulled into a strangers property and left it there for the night, thankfully the owner was understanding of our situation and I had started to cool down after having a severe emotional meltdown after so many pull overs was starting to take it's toll on me.

Sad that the generator didn't work as you could use that as an APU for the dying engine alternator. I'm shocked that its on a Ford chassis as most of the RV's were GM chassis. Fixing it is part of the fun, anything with moving parts will break in time, its just having a plan and a good toolbox at the ready!
I recently overhauled a little green generator and its been fantastic.
Happy trails!
