The Ring Lord (the chainmail supplier I get materials from) started making these itty-bitty tiny scales. I got a couple packs of them to try out, but wow they take forever. They're pretty, of course, but take an unreasonable amount of time to weave. The typical bracelets I make use about 2 dozen scales, but this chain of that length took about a hundred scales. So that's four times as many links to begin with, multiplied by them being fiddlier to work with because the rings are like dust.
If I ever decide to start working with precious metals, I'll probably use this size. But otherwise, I just don't think I can charge enough money for them to make up for the increase in labor.
Anyway, the tiny scales are "frost" colored anodized aluminum, the normal size is green anodized titanium. I need to re-stock that, but I'm suuuper low on cash right now.
Made a few months ago, but I totally forgot to post it.
