a medieval dagger, called a rondel.
used for fighting by stabbing. is held downward, as opposed to a normal dagger.
this one has a single sharpened edge, some may have multiple blade edges, as well as none at all...

(if your interested up next on my list of weapons are the mercy giver (pretty much the "death blow" dagger) and the Zweihander (German two handed long blade...and they are loooooong too:3)
