I went to the World Famous Lipizzaner Stallion show. I’ve wanted to see the Lipizzaners since I was a little girl. I brought my Nikon DS90 and managed to get some really great shots at the show.
This is one of my favorites for its clarity. It’s when one of the stallions was being walked around to show the various brands they bear and what they mean.
I’ve posted the rest of the photos on my flickr account:

Feel free to use these photos for reference in your art or photomanips. No, you don’t have to link me or give me credit or grovel at my feet to use them or paste all over the image that you used a reference photo. I don’t care. I’d like to see what people do with them but I if you don’t let me know that’s okay too. Being anal retentive and all restrictive over blurry photo stock is just dumb, but don’t get me going about that!

I have been lucky enough to have seen them 3 times in my life... most recently last year when they were at the Mohegan Sun here in Connecticut and I took my husband. =) His first time seeing them and I didn't know if he would enjoy it but seeing him completely captivated by the show and curious and asking me some questions about them(like the tricks they were doing and getting surprised by them) was VERY rewarding. ^^ Everyone should atleast see them once in their lives. I have the two movies about them.. the Disney movie and the movie/documentary about the school. ^^ Oh and 3 different booklets from the shows. Each time I went it was a tad bit different, and the recent booklet is signed by 8 people who work at the show, 4 are female riders.
I also was very lucky to have seen the Cavalia show when we were still in Dallas. Another very cool horse show... I have the DVD, Soundtrack, and a souvenier booklet which is signed by the owner of the show whom I got to meet... >.> He and his wife didn't know much english lol

The 'P' is for 'Piber' which is the site of the Federal Stud Farm the Lipizzaner was born at. The marks behind the left shoulder are the brands indicating the stallion's ancestral (not direct!) sire and dam...Which of the six famous 'originator' horses the stallion is descended from.
