I tried out a new method of drawing anthromorphic characters with the Modern Kh'tall picture. I downloaded a generic model of a person from http://e2-productions.com/repository/ and posed it the way I wanted, then took a screenshot from the angle I wanted. I traced over it in Flash to get the leftmost picture (with manual adjustments for the tail and muzzle).
Then I added detail, redrew the hands and feet and worked on the head a bit to get the middle one. (Thanks to
clexyoshi for ideas on how to draw the eye)
Finally I added the scars and coloured it up to get the rightmost one.
Using a model means I'll be able to keep things in proportion reasonably well, but it doesn't help me in not drawing crappy hands or feet since I have to redraw the low-res ones the model had. And a million (give or take) attempts at drawing the eye came out as failures until I got someone else to help me with it. Still, overall, it's a good result but only works on anthromorphs.
