Commission for Malkaiwot on DA! He found a strange book and started looking through it. The images inside were of various fantasy races and a place called Ivalice! He smiled as he rifled through the pages, unaware of the change overtaking his body and slowly creeping up behind him as the world itself seemed to shift into a different setting.

Yep! I've played them both. =3 Tactics Advance remains my favorite, but the others are also very good games. XII hearkens back to the political nature of the original Tactics while keeping the fantasy races of the more recent Advanced games, and I quite enjoyed the story in it. I'm totally getting Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age once that gets released next month on the PS4.
Heheh. It would be! I actually had to look up how the characters in the game had to get back because I couldn't remember! It dealt with crystals (because this IS Final Fantasy). All of the crystals had to be shattered and then the Grimoire (the book that's being read in the picture) had to be used to take everyone back to the original world.
