My idea/concept for a Batman style character. I was a big fan of "Batman: the animated series" I loved the style, the feel, the depth and the fact it was tragic at times! This character is supposed to be more of that kind of feel....die hard Batman fanatics please don't bite my head off.
Doctor Albert R Phycroc was a psychologist specializing in behavior of the criminally insane. It wasn't long until he found himself working in Arkham Asylum. Phycroc attempted to analyze and understand many of the patients, with some results...until he came across the Joker. A being who broke every study, every understanding ever law of psychology. The doctor soon gave up, deciding that beings like the Joker proved everyone was insane in some way or another but they were too blind to see this fact. Dressing in a costume mostly black and white he set out to bring the only kind of sanity that would save everyone: death.
Dr Psych-e seems almost psychic in his ability to predict and respond to people's intentions. Even claiming some understanding of how the Batman himself thinks.

I loved this series, it was so dark and deep...you actually felt sad for the bad guys sometimes!
I really didn't care for "The Batman" series where everyone freaking knew kung fu....the Penguin should not be going toe to toe in a fist fight with Batman and winning!!
"Batman: the brave and the bold" is a guilty pleasure of mine, its so cheesy and stupid but it's good for a laugh.
I think the best animated version of Batman I've seen so far is from Justice League, it gave him a chance to be 'the outsider' of the group and to show that yes he is smarter then most of the other members of the team

Ah yes, that's my favorite version of Batman. For all the same reasons too.
Plus, the joker in the newer one sucks. He's just psychotic. In the other one he was too... but he had some class at least. If I recall in that one, he had a chance to kill Batman, but decided agenst it because the way it was set up wasn't 'funny'.
