Yeegh, that bell curve at the bottom of the breastplate looks a little sharp at the corners. If only the smithys rounded them out!

Guess that's why the game only lets you eat the meat of certain monsters. Mainly the mostly passive ones.

Messaging here again even after so long, but I know which armor that is I think! Zinogre armor! If I'm also guessing this right it's the Gunner variant of the armor. Gunner variant armor tends to be more lightweight for ease of movement which is why they are thinner and sometimes less covered-up on the skin as Gunners can't take many hits before Fainting from taking damage. I have a funny story to tell ya of my times in the past Monster Hunting. so, I was doing Wrath of Rath with Farcaster combines yeah? Well, when.I farcasted one time, I just narrowly escaped a metal Rath while poisoned. I was real low on health and dying from poison. I looked around for the bed to sleep on, and right when I could finally find it it was too late, I fainted from Poison! XD terrible fail on my part, but I found it funny now.
