Living in Sigrún's land is not always easy. Blizzards and hailstorms in autumn and winter, rebuilding damaged houses after them in spring, working hard at harvest (sometimes reduced by pest) in summer, and sometimes wars against dragon-like creatures coming from unknown realms, who burn and steal everything they see, using not only their jaws and claws, but also their powerful spells - that's quite a lot of troubles to cope with, even for such a strong community like this one.
But dwellers of this land never lose their hope, and never hesitate to have some joyful time too! Every happy moment - winning a war, building a new house, finding lost sheep or goat, a good harvest, a marriage - is a good occasion to feast, what means one or more days of eating a lot, drinking mead and beer, sitting around bonfire, joking, singing and dancing... and much more ;3
But the biggest occasion is Midsummer - celebration of the longest daytime in year. In addition to all this fun, Sigrún's homeland offers some additional traditions - for example, females (like our two pretty vixens here, Sigrún and Sigurrós) decorate their heads with wreaths of flowers, and jump over the great bonfire, what symbolizes overcoming all difficulties and provides luck, vitality and fertility for the whole next year :)
Such a great way to relax from hard work, and such a great reminder that whatever will happen, there will always be a reason to be happy - a Midsummer - once an each year. Do you want to join? ;3

Yaaay ^^ Then I'm very happy I'll try to upload pics more frequently, just some spring-summer laziness hit me recent days xD
I have problem though how to highlight the difference when writing about historical Sigrún's world, and about modern Sigrún's world - because Sigrún you can see in this picture does not live in the same time and place that for example the little Sigrún lives in :D but I hope it's easily distinguishable just by scenery xDD
