This is so simple, Vrghr considered not posting. But the taste is wonderful, and apparently Avocado Toast in various forms is very popular at the moment. So wuff figured he might as well toss this out there to show just how easy this delicious dish is to create.
It's totally worth the 10-15 minutes you'll spend making it (less if you use pre-cooked bacon, or skip that for another topping). The flavors are rich, creamy, savory, and delicious. If you like avocado, you'll love this quick and easy way of enjoying them!
Check out Chuong Chuong 's verions of this wonderful creation! He presented some very yummy recipes too!
Let the ideas here be inspirations to take these in new directions. The Avocado serves as a foundation for LOTS of variations! For example, wuff was originally planning on searing some little 'grape' tomato halves, but forgot them at home. But a sprinkle of those, or a slice of a hothouse or garden tomato on this would be "Fab".
- Add a bit of micro-greens for a elegant touch
- sub cold-smoked salmon (lox) for the bacon, and spread a bit of cream cheese on the toast first, top with some fine diced red onion and capers
- skip the bacon, top with fresh Picante and spread some sriracha mayo underneath the avocado
- go vegetarian with some assorted fresh garden veggies, like thin-sliced radishes, tomato, maybe some shredded carrot
- make the avocado into guacamole, and sprinkle some crushed tortilla chips and a few dashes of salsa
Go wild folks! This is easy and yummy! If you come up with your own version, please let this wuff know what you've made!
