Could use some tighter packing.. the photog in me is screaming "needs more lenses!".

That said, my normal camera packing mode is to "cram stuff in until nothing can shift anymore". XD

Lenses,groceries...lenses,groceries. Groceries wins. I already have enough invested in camera and lenses to buy a decent used car and that with buying floor samples and used. Dis stuff is crazy expensive. I don't even have a flash for it because I typically don.t need one and it costs as much as the camera did. Used, off fleabay.

Correction, used to cost as much as the camera, I just snagged a nos flash for $25. The camera is 5 years old now and eclipsed by newer models.

Yep, I know that problem. It doesn't help that it also deprecates in value at crazy fast rate.

Anyway, what kind of flash were you trying to buy if it cost the same as the camera?!

Oh, the proprietary flash that went with the camera. I bought the camera as a floor sample for less than the lens that it came with. At the time, a new flash for it cost about the same as what I paid for the lens and camera, so I went without. Fast forward to today and they were going for $25 on Ebay so I snagged one. The lenses are still used on new Sony cameras and they aren't as popular as Canon or Nikon so they aren't depreciating at all and oddly, the camera I bought at a huge discount 5 years ago is selling on Ebay for about the same price today. They are an amazingly good camera for what they are.

As for the flash.. GN20!? At that price?I Oh, crazy proprietary hot shoe. That is making me triply appreciating the standard flash unit Olympus is putting into their cameras, with the remote control built right in.

The NEX-5R is a lovely camera indeed. I'd be seriously tempted myself, but I'm so old fashioned that I still insist on an optical viewfinder - which means I have to cart around twice the weight compared with everyone who's gone mirrorless.

Optical viewfinders suck hard if you wear glasses, once I got my hands on a display viewfinder, I never looked back. Still best for film but pointless for digital in my opinion.
