I finally finished the commission for dear Twitterlu on dA I kinda tried a new technique...It was supposed to be a shading technique, but turned out to be more of a fur practise.
I wasn't sure what to do with the 'background'. At first I wanted to use the same picture of Nanaki in the background, making it transparent and slowly fading. I know how to make something transparent, of course, but I couldn't figure out how to do the slowly fading effect with Sai. I also played around with giving him a shadow, but I didn't like the result...So I kept it like this. I hope that's okay.
I also really hope you like this! This took me way longer than I though it would. That damn fur, and the colo... x.x Still, if anything requires change, please tell me.

Yeah, I've always loved him ever since I first played the game when I was eight years old or so. <3
And thank you so much, I'm happy to hear that! :D It also feels good to move away from all the cutesy stuff I've done for a while and get back to the roots (more realistic and semi-realistic art). :D
