The Panzerjager 38 or better known as the "Hezter" was a German light tank destroyer of WW2 based on a modified Czechoslovakian Panzer 38(t) chassis.

Carrying a reasonably powerful 75 mm gun, was mechanically reliable, small and easily concealed. It was also cheap to make resulting a total of 2,827 build between 4 March 1944 – 11 May 1945 which is quite impressive during the late stage of the war and they were used quite effectively. Due to their low profile and powerful frontal armor they became the most common of firepower russian and allied tankers had to face. Also like some other late-war German SPGs, the Jagdpanzer 38 mounted a remote-control machine gun mount, which could be fired from within the vehicle. This proved popular with crews, though to reload the gun a crewmember needed to expose himself to enemy fire.

After the war large amount of Hetzers ended up in several armies including the Swiss who used it untill the 70's. Due to this the Hetzer can still be found in many museums or in private collections often in running order.
