Now...I don't usually post wip pics too often unless I feel that they are more awesome than I usually make or something funny has occurred. It would be the latter of these two options...ya see...when an artist does commissions they can range from super specific details given by the commissioner to complete and absolute artistic freedom. Now I hope  Maxcoyote is not offended by my premature sketches and whatnot but this is too funny to not talk about.

This is one of those commissions where the customer knew exactly what he wanted. He gave me some back story on the scene but said he would give me more specific details later. Not one to sit around on a commission I didn't wait to start sketching (this sometimes bites me in the butt since there is no way to know what I will be requested to draw and it could be completely different from what I have done). But I sketch away none the less...

not until i got another message from MC with details did i start to wonder if I had other skills aside from drawing...lol

The layout is nearly identical to his specs.

I put the town and the character in the right places. Some of the items he requested are drawn in there too. His pose is almost right. I think the mood is spot on! I just find it funny when stuff happens like this. Actually, I love it.
