This was the original idea and study I did for https://www.furaffinity.net/view/23960992/
As you see, it took me only two years to make something out of it. Also, apart from the pose, the werewolf shape was quite different, I originally wanted a sleek one like those you can see in the alas forgotten "Dog Soldiers" film, to emphasize the fact it was not like the other members of his pack.

I usually never make a "mock-up", just a rough I directly work on, even if I have to change it radically. But since it has been a certain time I did not draw, I wanted to see first if I was just still able to do something, then in a second time it helped me materialize my idea and somehow unconciously forced me not to abandon it. Strangely enough I absolutely did not look at it when I did the final version, which explains some of the differences between the two. I think I should have since I find the rough better, but having those two so different is somehow nice too.
Because since I drew this rough, every weekend beginning, I was like "this time, I'm really doing it..." and every weekend end, it was "well, ok, next time, that's for sure". And that for more than a hundred weekends. And because I was sure the day I would post it, if I did not draw the final pic, I wouls never, never do it at all.
From around the same time I only have one more rough I never posted, a personal project pic I cherish but that is difficult to begin because I know it will take me a long moment to complete it, and because I absolutely don't want to betray the picture I got in mind, the perspective, some details...
Now from just a few weeks or monthes I've got several (less than ten though) roughes in progress, if "in progress" got any meaning actually in my case............ And two completed pics that I will upload at a slow pace to help me complete some more inbetween (or so I hope). I will upload them but I warn you right now, they are not of good quality and I don't like much how they turned out.

Well, the thing about choosing not to post your own artwork because you don't think it's good enough, is that you're not just posting it for your own benefit but also for all the viewers who tune in to see your drawings. The odds are that more people would enjoy seeing what you may consider a "low quality picture" than you might think!
