Do you approve of "Ioang nina'vi" (or perhaps ni na'vi) as a basic transformation for 'animal person'?
The closest I could come for a meaning of Rooth would be from the Hindu "Roothna", which is a term of endearment. So whatever the Na'vi call each other affectionately would be a good root for Rooth's Na'vi name. Or just "Rooth'na", sounds Na'vi-enough? ;)

I'm thinking Rx'uthtsyìp ("little Rooth"), since the -tsyìp ("little") is often used in suffixes to denote endearment. As for a legit transliteration, I'd have to defer to Dr. Frommer or the guys over at learnnavi.org since I don't remember offhand whether -th- is legal in Na'vi ;)
Fabulous. :). I love these expressions. Rooth's never had a queue before, I wonder how that'll feel for him. Now that his not-so-secret crush "sees" him, she might be his first Tsaheylu, which probably would spoil him forever.
Thank you, Shiro! I think that might be it for this sequence. At least, I'm not sure what might come next, if I were to carry it forward. A kiss? A ride on an Ikran (Pandoran dragon thing)? (Wheeeeee!). Or maybe the mushroom/cure combo has some side effects not yet revealed. *ponder*
