They can be! I'm terrified of spiders too, but most are completely harmless and more then friendly. Doesn't mean they aren't scary though. It does of course depend on where you live though.

Yeah my fear of them runs to deep. I know some aren't deadly but it's the not be able to tell by looking that gets me. That and they just creepy *shudders*

It's rare you can't tell actually, poisonous spiders often have a specific look to them, compared to regular old house spiders. Not always, but again depends on your area. Here I know when it's just a house spider.

Idk what is in my area other than brown recluse. But I don't really get close enough to look I go the other way. I nu like any of them.

Actually I live in arizona and the only things here that are poisonous are snakes, black widow spiders, which are highly recognizable, and bark scorpions, which are also highly recognizable. Camel spiders, hairy scorpions, and tarantulas are all harmless. The heat however? Yeah, the sun wants to kill you.

Oh right, L. Arizonicus, I forgot about those. But honestly? I have literally never seen one, so I would barely even count it as a legitimate threat.

Here in Central Florida, we have what I liked to call "The 3 DNT"

Black and Brown Widows along with brown recluse.

I've had not one but 2 wolf spiders wander into my room, 2nd one was while I gaming and noticed something speedy, freaked me out for a few moments.

Rest tend to be common house or cute little jumping spooders.

Heck I've had more encounters with fire ants than I have the mentioned 3 DNT.

Just remember, they are cool to look at but, leave them alone.*

*= Unless it is one of the 3 DNT I mentioned and if they are inside the house, feel free to kill them.
