Y'know, I played with just about every color combination that I could think of, and this was the one that I settled on. I knew I wanted a lighter group (grey originally), but the darker stripes didn't seem to mesh well anything else but pink. Short of going straight white with grey stripes (which'll probably be my winter colors), tabby colors seemed to work best - thus, my summer coat.
