Well, despite your dislike of the background, it looks like you didn't really have to worry since most people aren't really looking at the background anyway. Besides, a simpler background draws focus to Kaz, so it works just as well. Frame the image right, and a simple background will go a long way. So you had to use markers to get the blacks, eh? I guess it would be hard to find any pencil that'll do blacks like a marker. Looking quite good, though ^__^
