MaMa was such an ordinary dragon; boring in most aspects to me. The elders of my pod declared her a breeder and so she became, even though it was evident that she wasn't too capable of doing such a job; a normal breeder could bare anywhere from twenty to thirty eggs. She only bore ten. She was secretly ridiculed by other female breeders in the pod, but she never minded, nor seemed to care; I always admired that about her.
Mother's name was Rashia, which meant 'Patience' in our ancient dialogue. She lived up to her name. She only named a few of her daughters; father named the rest. She named me 'Mara', a 'blessing'. She always told me I was a blessing to her and PaPa.
Mother was born fourth of twelve offspring. This, I figure, could've contributed to my parents' trouble having children. I only hope this infertility issue doesn't become genetic...
