Originally this was a sketch I did for my friend joes art show, his series of paintings was a 30+ piece scifi story that was epic and crazy, involving a lone astronaut everyman kinda character mining on a moon. The astronaut goes on a journey trying to find his worth when he is replaced from his job by the guy in green above. During that journey he discovers a strange and amazing dragon, and then it all goes downhill. There is a few bloody deaths involved.

I watched Joes show come together over a number of months- Joe encouraged me to be involved art-wise, and maybe even do a spinoff comic. The lineart of this is the most I accomplished. I never got around to coloring it till now, and so when I did, I did it as I always intended to, matching the style of the paintings that inspired it.
