Selena is a globe-trotting archaeologist with a lot of knowledge about history. On one fateful day, she was underground during an excavation when a rock slide was triggered, and she was caught up in it. Selena would wake up in a hospital 2 weeks after the accident and was horrified to discover that her arms and legs had been damaged beyond hope of healing and were amputated as a result. This devastated her, as she loved traveling and living an active lifestyle, but now it seemed that she would never be independent again.
Just when it seemed like she would have to be resigned to a life in a wheelchair, the doctors gave her some news: a medical firm was developing a new kind of bionic appendage and her situation could allow her to be a test subject.
It was at that point she met Melody and the two got to know one another. With every meeting she had with her, she began to truly appreciate the eevee's fast-paced speech patterns, her eccentric personality, and her determination to ensure Selena could have her independence back.
4 months, 2 surgeries and lots of therapy later, Selena would walk again, with 4 bionic limbs that could mimic organic movement perfectly. It was around this time the Selena and Melody realized their true feelings for one another and started living together.

Oh, well the world where Rena's from, she and her sister both were the ones to create the world, not Arceus. In fact, Arceus was the very first creation of Rena, and she began treating him like a son. Even gave him a name, Arthur. As for her sister Nera... she one day snapped, corrupted Arthur and forced him to steal Rena's powers while he was completely under her control, and if it weren't for an exploration that traveled back in time from the post-apocalyptic future Nera created and found Rena, she'd be dead. This caused a massive war that ended in Arthur's death and Nera escaping to travel the multiverse in search of a new army to combat Rena. If you see a black mew with crimson eyes, that's Nera, and you should run. If you see a blue mew with gold eyes, that's Rena. If you see a regular shiny Mew, that's either just a Mew, or Rena's friend Ben while not transformed into a human. Ben was given a small portion of Rena's power and, as a gift for helping in the shadow pokemon war, was granted a wish. That wish was to become a mew, The human form he uses as a disguise is actually what he looked like before he became a Mew. Ben and Rena both are currently hunting Nera. Oh, and as for Rena's allies in that war? They were Jane the Jirachi, Victor the Victini, Sarah the Shaymin, Mana the Manaphy, and Celest the Celebi, as well as Ben.
