Ashley, my Daeva Vampire child. -HE- was sired in the mid-Victorian Era. Centuries old, but impotent due to the age he was when he was embraced. It's driven the boy mad. Don't let those large eyes and sweet mouth fool you-- Ash is a monster, and should never be underestimated.
The scan is a little off, because my fuckin' machine is dying. *Grumble.* I had to use a goddamn reference for his feet-- they still seem off to me.

Ahhh, to be eternally childlike must be a sad and lonely existence. Reminds of Interview with a Vampire, the girl..can't remember her name. She was absolutely pissed when she realized the full extent of what had been done to her.
Also, as I understand, a vampire, though burned alive, can eventually be brought back, even from ashes. IIf I am not mistaken, it does, however, take an extreme amount of fresh blood for such a thing to occur. I could be mistaken, however, but you know how the vampire mythos is, there's a different set of rules for every vampire legend. Some vary very little, while others stray way off the beaten path.

Claudia was her name. And, this character is in the new World of Darkness universe-- so, sunlight is the ultimate death. But, that's very true. There are hundreds of variations on the Vampire Legend. I tend to stay away from any of them geared towards teenagers, like Twilight and the such.
One of my favorite portrayals of the Vampire Mythos is in the Anita Blake series, by Laurell K. Hamilton. The books degenerate into bad, supernatural smut.. But she drives the fact home, that no matter how pretty and otherworldly the Corpse is, it's still just a monstrous leech.

Twilight is an abomination..as far as I saw, the vampires int hat series had few weaknesses. They were like..goth Superman or some shit...it was weird..
Anyway, have you ever given thought to aquatic vampires? I don't know if there is a mythos to them yet, but the idea intrigues me...the question there is how would an aquatic vampire be created? How would they be sired? How would they sire others?
One thought is that there are some vampires out there who, because they do not breathe, live beneath the water but can come onto dry land. They are still succeptible to direct sunlight but the effect takes a bit longer due to their bodies being pretty much soaked like a sponge.
For the most part, they would appear to sweat a bit, as their bodies do not absorb the water the way living tissue does.
If you've seen Ghost Rider (The newer release), think of that watery fellow, only not as droll and not quite as soaked looking.

While I haven't given much thought to aquatic vampires.. Because, logically, vampires cannot sustain themselves on animal blood terribly long. And with how rare ship-travel is these days, they'd be starving.
But, Aquatic Zombies? Hell yea'! My friend and I have been talking about that forever.

and aquatric zombies would be the death of most of the world. XD "Let's go to that island! They cna't get us there! Too much water!" Enter Aquatic Zombies =
"OH SHIIIIT! We're fucked.." Then again, Zombies don't get around very well on land, their travel would be kinda hindered, that, and the temperature of the water could also do them in as far as mobility. They have no blood flow, so their muscles would probably either lock up or freeze them in place beneatht he water. Of cours,e it'd have to be some kinda deep to do that.
