Name: Chakat Cloudwalker.
Nicknames: Cloud, Cloudy, CW, Walker, and "Mittens."
Sex/Gender: Hermaphrodite (formerly male).

Personality: An introvert by nature, Cloudwalker generally prefers hir alone time, though shi can be rather sociable depending on the situation and the people involved. If shi doesn't know anyone, shi'll usually either sit and observe quietly or hang around people that shi does know until shi feels more relaxed. Becoming a chakat has forced hir to come out of hir shell a bit, due to their need to be sociable, but shi still has introverted tendencies. Even prior becoming a chakat, shi displayed a low-level empathic ability, which influenced hir as an empathetic person. Shi's usually willing to lend sympathetic ear to people's problems, and while shi doesn't think shi gives the best advice, will offer what shi can to help if asked.
When given a task, shi is a diligent worker, though shi does have hir moments of laziness, usually during hir downtime. Shi is an imaginative person, dreaming up worlds and stories to jot down when inspiration strikes hir. In fact, hir name "Cloudwalker," comes from how shi feels like shi always "has hir head in the clouds." Because of this drifting imagination, however, shi often finds hirself caught between two ideas to write down and dedicate time to, finding it difficult to pick and choose, which usually leads to them falling by the wayside, much to hir chagrin.
Cloudwalker is a nerdy 'kat at heart, enjoying anime, manga, comic books, science fiction and fantasy novels, and video games. Though normally soft-spoken, shi tends to get rather loud and excitable when talking about something shi's passionate about... Which shi will usually apologize for, feeling like shi's rambling or monopolizing a conversation, and that shi's being annoying. Shi has a mind like a steel trap for trivia on hir passions, which can be both a blessing and a curse as shi grows out of them and wants to move on, only to find the knowledge comes back to haunt hir.

Origin/Backstory: Born in the Michigan Province of Greater North America on Terra, Cloudwalker's original name was Taliesin "TJ" Greer. He had a considerably normal family life until he was about five years old, when his father's job forced the family to pack up and move west to the California Province- that and the fact that portions of the Michigan Province are still toxic in some areas convinced his parents that it was no place to raise two kids. It was there that Taliesin met his first morph friends, and he grew fascinated with them, with the idea of being something more that human. As children are want to do, he fantasized about becoming like them, something that persisted into his teenage years and became something of a sore spot to him secretly, knowing that it was an impossibility that could never come to pass. A quaint little fantasy that would only be just that and nothing more.
That is, until he learned about the Oceanwalker Process.
At the time, Taliesin was attending Dewclaw University, having emigrated to Chakona from Terra in search of new sights and new experiences. Upon hearing that Professor Oceanwalker was setting up a test group at the university, TJ leapt at the chance to join the program, overjoyed that his dream could finally become a reality. Having passed the initial physical and psychological evaluations, as well as the required background check, TJ chose to become a chakat, having been enamored by their beauty and the boundless kindness and love he had known from his few chakat friends growing up. Now Chakat Cloudwalker, it has taken hir some time to get used to hir new body and significantly enhanced empathic ability, but shi is incredibly happy with hir new chakat form and has chosen to make the change permenant. While shi is a little nervous as to how hir parents will react to hir new body, as shi never shared hir desire to become one with them, shi knows that shi has made the right choice and wouldn't change back for the world.
Other Notes:
- Prior to becoming a chakat, Cloudwalker had a Ghost In The Shell tattoo (on the back of hir neck) that was very special to hir, symbolizing hir desire to become more that human (i.e. transhumanism). However, since tattoos are frowned upon in chakat culture, shi had hir fur-pattern altered so that a series of leopard-like rosettes replaced them in hir new chakat form. That way, shi could keep them and have a reminder that shi had achieve hir dream.
- While shi generally prefers to wear hir mane down, Cloud will put it up in a pony tail if need be, or if the situation calls for it.
- Hir new body's pattern donor is a chakat Star Corps Security trainee named Thunderpaw.

I know that this comes on the tail end (no pun intended) of my having picked Saoirse as my new fursona, but to be honest, I've been debating having a taur-form sona for a while now.
Originally, I had thought of having a Chakat as a fursona following my desire to have a change of pace from Gwen. However, discussions with a friend here on FA sort of turned me off to the idea for a while- mostly because of their opinions on the Chakona Space Universe and the writing style of certain authors therein. Yet, that little part of me that actually liked the Chakona Universe still remained. Thanks in no small part to a friend that I met from the HSD Discord,
blackpaw_bp, however, I was able to reconnect with that interest in chakats and the Chakona Universe, and embrace it. After joining the 
fachakats Discord and getting to know some of the people there, that was it. I knew I found a place for me. Even before then, I had been working on bringing Cloudwalker to life, though at that point, shi didn't really have a name, but after talking with some of the other 'kats, I was able to pick one, and I believe it fits hir and me perfectly.
So here I am, Chakat Cloudwalker, and it's very nice to meet you all once again XD. The artwork for hir sheet was done by the incredibly talented and wonderful
scissorsrunner. Be sure to check out her gallery if you like the art, she's done some amazing work, and I plan on commissioning more awesome art from her in the future ^^.

I mentioned that in the description, actually ^^. When shi was initially a human, shi had those tattooed on hir neck, being a fan of the show and a self-proclaimed transhumanist. When shi decided to become a chakat via the Oceanwalker Process, shi knew that tattoos and other forms of body modifications are considered taboo in chakat culture, but shi still wanted to keep them. So, shi elected to have the leopard rosettes/spots replace them, as a reminded of what used to be there and of the promise shi made to hirself to stay alive and healthy to see the day where technology like that in Ghost in the Shell was not just fiction, but a reality. It reminds hir that shi not only kept hir promise, but exceeded it.
