Happy Canada Day! 150 years. Wow, so long, yet compared to other countries, so young. Thought I'd whip something up for such a big day.
I originally had this with a happy blue background. But I understand that for some, it's not quite such a celebratory day. Given the years of hardships the indigenous peoples of Canada of endured, I wanted the picture to reflect that in some manner. The flag still blows proudly in the wind, but on a darker, gloomier sky, to indicate that not all is good as of yet. There is still much work to be done.
