It's a tradition to name the second hatchling after the month they're born in. August was born in the hottest month of the year, so his incubation period didn't take too long. He is father's first son; father was so happy.
Too bad for father too. August has grown to believe that father is not good enough to be alpha male and has challenged father many times. Father certainly put him in his place; he broke August's snout horn, which is the main weapon for dominance fighting and has certainly damaged August's pride.
August surely has nothing to worry about with the females though. His dark color proves to be very attractive for light skinned females. He has shown strong signs of complete infertility though, which a concern for the whole family...
