Civillians tend not to have a clue, We join up for the thrill, the adventure, the pay, the oppertunity to do things most others never get the chance to do, To protect and Preserve Human life here and in other countries that need our aid, its a massive commitment that is frowned upon alot by the public. Im a Soldier in the British Army, and back in Britain we are kicked out of pubs and some bars, just because we are military.

That reminds me of Battlefield. I enjoy playing the medic, but still pop some bullets into the opposers (...Firefox says that's not a word!). 'Course, I also enjoy being a sniper, popping their limbs off...

Anyways, yeah, Medics in real life probably don't do much shootin', just helping out those injured. That how it is for you?

Yeah, my platoon covers me while I nab the injured and drag them to quasi-safety, patch em up, and evac em if necessary. Although the thought process behind being a soldier is always "Soldier first, job second."

For a medic, I think that would be kinda hard to sort in priority... If it comes to you, a patient, and no reinforcements, would you try to sneak the patient away or make certain any enemies nearby won't have the chance to shoot you? Personally, I'd make certain it was safe (if I knew there were enemies and was sure I'd have no covering... whatever you wanna call it when platoon covers you).

Everyone has a rifle, or weapon system regardless of role, Soldier 1st, Medic Second.

i'm actually... surprised an pleased to hear something like this. we americans are always pointed at an told how much we suck or people hate us... even the people in our own damn country... it's sad really, especially hearing such a kickass comment like that! man... wish there were more people like you out there XD or at least that we could find, haha

You'll find alot of the British Forces, especially us Scottish absoutly love the Americans ^^

Seriously (as in agreeing)... I don't support the war, but I DO support our soldiers. They're putting their asses on the line (man, I don't really like saying "ass", but this is really that intense) and all most civilians can think is "Fucking soldiers. They're fucking idiots, killing innocent people. Why the fuck are they even out there? There's no fucking reason for them to be out there!" I say it's those civilians who are the idiots! We're trying to keep PEACE after Bush's mistakes! It's not the army's fault that Bush was a moron (honestly, it's the civilian's fault for voting him in)... And I truely believe Obama will fix the wrongs that past presidents have idiotically done (as half off-subject as that statement is).

well just as alot of people put to much faith in bush, we can't put too much faith in obama either. though he is our nations president he is still just a man an it is our nations responsibility not just his to make things better.

I took a trip to the beach and rode a camel. Only sound it made was a chirping. Outside my base is a camel farm, so I get to smell camel poo every morning
